A Week at The Galley

A Week at The Galley

Besides a wide range of beverages and a locally inspired menu, one of our specialties at The Galley is hosting events. Sometimes they’re for holidays, sometimes they’re for sports games, and sometimes they’re just for the sake of well, having fun. Still, even when there’s nothing “big” going on, we make each day unique with our regular weekly specials. So without further introduction, here’s a walkthrough of a week at The Galley.

Monday

Are you that person in every friend group that has bits random knowledge on almost everything? Well if not, you better bring them along. Mondays from 6:30pm to 8:30pm means Trivia Night at The Galley. It’s free to play, teams can be as big as they want to be, and prizes go to the top three winners. We also offer great drink specials to build team spirit of course.

Tuesday

Mondays are for getting back into the swing of things, but Tuesdays are for tacos. Every Tuesday from noon to 10pm, we’re offering $3 tacos and $3 Tampa Bay craft beers.Think you’ve tried every kind of taco there is? Well think again. Our Florida Tacos are more than just your average, savory bite on a flour tortilla. They come in your choice of either fried alligator or grouper, topped with pico de gallo, pickled cabbage, romaine lettuce, and horsey-lemon sour cream.

For $6 you can eat fried gator and wash it down with an ice-cold beer. What’s more Floridian than that?

Wednesday

Congratulations! You’ve finally made it halfway through the week. So as our salute to you, we’re serving half-off appetizers from 7pm to 10pm every Wednesday at The Galley. There’s nothing like splitting some apps (and maybe grabbing a few drinks) with some friends or co-workers as a stepping stone towards the weekend.

Thursday

There’s a saying that goes, “The early bird gets the worm.” Well, on Thursdays at The Galley you don’t have to be a morning person to be early. You just have to get here by 9pm. That’s when our Beat the Clock special begins. From 9pm to 10pm, we’re offering $1 drafts, wells, and wines. Then, for each hour that passes until midnight, $1 gets added to the price. It’s a race against time.

Thursday is also Karaoke Night as well. You bring the talent, and we’ll provide  liquid courage that’s easy on the wallet. Just don’t go quitting your day job.

Friday

Forget pregaming. Every Friday night, we extend Happy Hour till 8pm, but that’s not all we’re about. To kick off the weekend, we’ve got a variety of live music playing from 6pm to 10pm. Then for the late night crowd, we’ve got DJ Sugar Bear to finish off the night.

Saturday

Every Saturday, you can set the clock to snooze without the fear of missing brunch. Take a hair of the dog that bit you with a Bloody Mary and brunch that brings you back to life!

Also, what says “day off” better than a beer with a lime in it? Coronas are $3 from open to close every Saturday.

Sunday

Not all heroes wear capes. Some work the late nights and holidays behind a bar, in dining rooms, in kitchens, or even managing it all to make it look effortless. Regardless of it’s the front or back of the house that you work, all those in the service industry get 50% from 6pm to closing every Sunday. That counts for both food and drinks with presentation of a recent paystub. It’s our tip of the hat.

Just like on Saturday, brunch is served every Sunday till 4pm.

Your St. Pete Tavern

Traditionally speaking, taverns were the de facto centers of the community. They were spots where people would relax, socialize, and hold various gatherings. Many historical events such as the planning of the Boston Tea Party and the founding of the Marine Corps occurred in a tavern. Although nothing of that magnitude has happened here, we can say that Captain Morgan himself has dropped by our establishment.

Still, in keeping with tradition, a tavern is about building a community. That’s why we make sure that there’s always something going on at the neighborhood bar.

Keep an eye on our Facebook page for any upcoming events or just drop by. No matter what day it is, there’s always a good reason to get to The Galley.
